Memories of an enjoyable week, spent with good friends and inspiring teachers.

The venue met with universal approval for its warm welcome, professional staff and excellent facilities. The Option Groups were at the heart of the programme and kept us all busy all week, exploring familiar and not so familar avenues of study and discussion. The plenary lectures and gatherings gave us the opportunity to learn, debate, laugh and feel that sense of identity and common purpose offered by the ARLT. The monsoon conditions we experienced on our expedition to Bath tested our resolve - but proved yet again that we Latinists are made of sterner stuff!

Respice! prospice! The ARLT acknowledges its debt to generations past but looks forward with renewed confidence as its newest members take up the torch and ensure a bright future for the promulgation and learning of Latin.
